Michael was succeeded by his daughter, Missy Harris, son, Josh Schwartz, daughter-in-law, Michelle Schwartz, grandson, Jacob Schwartz, grandson Mikey Schwartz, and brothers Morton Schwartz and Robert Schwartz. Mike was an avid fan of all things golf, the NY Giants and could never pass up a good movie or show especially involving spy’s, cops, spaghetti westerns and Hallmark. Michael loved working with his son Josh at Bainbridge Auto, chuckling over memes with his daughter Missy and spending cherished time with his grandchildren Jacob and Mikey. He exuded joy to friends and strangers alike. To know him was to love him.Īfter more than 30 years with IBM, Michael retired to life as a full time Grandpa and man about the neighborhood. Mike always had a joke to tell and a kind word for those he met along the way. He was an all around fun guy serving for a time as the President of the Endicott Pee Wee Football League, champion ‘Simon Says’ caller and everyone’s favorite Santa Claus at the IBM Country Club. As a young child he could be seen in his plastic guns and cowboy hat “holding up” Elks Bakery for cookies, as a teenager on the U-E Tigers Football team (Class of 1970) and as a young man working his way up the ladder at IBM, and becoming the Global Procurement Resource Manager of E-Services. The youngest son of Harold Schwartz and Eveline Bland, Michael grew up in Endicott, New York. Schwartz passed quietly away surrounded by family and thoughts of love on May 12, 2020, two days shy of his 68th birthday.
